Fifteen years ago we opened our doors with a simple belief: that everyone deserves a place to move, grow, and build something stronger than they were yesterday. You — and thousands of members like you — made that belief into a community.
On July 31, 2026, our adult fitness facility will close and reopen as a dedicated Children’s Fitness Center and PlayCafe at the end of 2026.
THIS IS NOT A CLOSURE.
THIS IS A CALLING.
Our Children’s Fitness Program has grown beyond what our current space can hold. Waitlists, overflowing sessions, and families who need us made the path forward clear. The same spirit that built Equalize into a home for adults will now build it into a home for the next generation.

- Your membership stays active through July 31, 2026 and terminates automatically.
- We have partnered with Fitness Factory Yonkers, so your fitness journey has a home.
We know this is not easy news. This community means everything to us, and you have been the heart of it. If you have questions, need support, or simply want to talk — our door is open.

We understand the news of our transition to a dedicated children’s fitness center may not be easy. Please take a moment to read through the Questions and Answers below as we hope to address your concerns.
Q: Why is Equalize Fitness closing?
A: Equalize is not simply closing — we are evolving. After 15 years of building a fitness community in Yonkers, we are transforming our facility to meet the overwhelming demand for children's fitness and youth wellness programming. Our Children's Program has outgrown its current space, and this transition allows us to serve the next generation of our community in a meaningful, dedicated way.
Q: When is the last day of operations?
A: Equalize Fitness Center will close to adult members on July 31, 2026. The facility will transition to a dedicated Children's Fitness Center on August 1, 2026.
Q: What happens to my membership?
A: All memberships will be formally concluded by July 31, 2026. We will provide prorated refunds for prepaid memberships. We have partnered with Fitness Factory in Yonkers to make your transition as smooth as possible, and to ensure your fitness journey has a home.
Q: Will I get a refund?
A: Members who have prepaid for time beyond July 31, 2026 will receive a prorated refund. EFT members will have billing stopped prior to the closing date.
Q: Where can I continue my fitness journey?
A: We have partnered with Fitness Factory in Yonkers to ensure you will have the same quality experience you have come to know and love at Equalize Fitness. Click on the link below to complete our form to activate a free pass, schedule a tour, or join now online.

Q: Will my personal trainer still be available?
A: Yes, clients will still have the opportunity to work with their personal trainer within the facility. Your trainer will be reaching out to you directly to discuss further.
Q: How do I cancel my EFT / automatic billing?
A: You do not need to take any action — all EFT billing will be stopped automatically on July 31, 2026.
Q: Will the new Children's Center offer any adult programming?
A: The Aerial Silks Program with Piper, and our Personal Training Program will continue. The remainder of the facility will be dedicated entirely to children's fitness and family programming.
Q: How can I support the new Children's Program?
A: We are so grateful you asked. The new Children's Program will have enrollment openings.
